The stone is within a fenced federal facility that, as of 2020, no longer allows visitors. From the intersection of Dalecarlia Parkway NW and Warren Place NW, enter the forest on the west side of the Parkway. The fence around the reservoir grounds should be immediately visible. Follow the fence west along the northern border of the property. When the fence crosses over a creek, a concrete culvert is easily visible within the fenced area. The stone is about 300 southeast of this culvert, too deep into the forest to see. The photographs below were taken when the facility still offered tours.
